Our History

Our restaurant group has worked together for over 30 years. We have owned and operated The Barking Dog here in Bethesda, Maryland for over 20 years now. We actually came up with the name "Barking Dog" one day while John was walking with one of his children. Our vision was to create a bar that we would want to visit. A bar that would host a wide selection of beers, mix up great cocktails and serve delicious food. Ever since we opened, the Bethesda community has welcomed us and we try to repay that honor by serving the best craft beer that we can find and cooking up great bar food for when you get hungry.

Everything that we do here at the Barking Dog is designed to make your visit with us an enjoyable one. We offer something for everyone every night of the week and can cater to your next party at the office or on our premises. We are always available to listen to your suggestions to make our bar and restaurant the best that it can possibly be.
